The idea of this site is to compose a completely new interpretation of Marvel's favorite mutants - the X-Men. With the recent release of the Ultimate X-Men, I thought it would be a great idea to try my own hand at a revisionist view of the mutant story. It's sort of like the old 'What If?' stories, but without any of the vast back history to weigh things down. So, what will the intial stories be about? Who will be in them? Well, I guess an enjoyable part of the creative process is not knowing where the story will lead. The excitement stems from realising the potential of your imagination and giving it free reign. |
The Future is Now!! Humanity is on the brink of an uncertain and uncharted future. The mysteries of science are falling one by one. The human genome has been decoded, man has walked on the surface of the Moon and weapons of mass destruction proliferate across the planet. Into this dangerous and volatile mix comes something totally unexpected. Something not even the prophets and soothsayers of old could have predicted. A twisted corruption of the human genetic code. A mutagenic x-factor has appeared in a tiny percentage of humanity. In labs and institutions around the world scientists race to identify this strange corruption. How did it get there? A genuine mutation? A result of the increase in background radiation from the nuclear age? Or something much more sinister? As more and more teenagers begin to show the symptoms of the onset of this strange and uncertain evolutionary development, one man reaches a decision. He is a man who can see the way ahead for all of mankind. The path will be rocky and treacherous, with no guarantee's of a peaceful outcome. But he HAS to make a stand, he CAN make a difference, he IS Professor Charles Xavier. |
